United Way of York County, SC officials are postponing the Project Connect event scheduled for this Saturday due to the National Weather Service issuing a Winter Storm Watch for the York County area.  The event will be held at a later date. 

This special one-day event will provide a "one-stop shop" to connect the homeless and disadvantaged with important services in a supportive setting.  The event is organized by United Way of York County , SC. United Way officials have been contacting vendors who were scheduled to donate their services to the project, including hair dressers, clothing providers, dentists, food providers, legal experts, education providers, and others to reschedule the event at a later date.  Volunteers and church groups have also been contacted in an effort to keep well-meaning individuals off the roads during a potential weather situation.
