The United Way of York County has officially opened the Collective Impact Grant Application for this funding cycle. We are excited to announce that we have a total of 27 agencies seeking funding that serve the community of York County in the areas of education, health, financial stability, and/or basic needs.
As a standing supporter of UWYC and the vision we hold, we would love to have your support and participation in this process. If you feel that you have the ability and the expertise to review grant applications and organizations, we would love to have you as a volunteer on our grants allocations committee.
This funding cycle, UWYC has refocused its vision based on the findings of the 2015 York County Community Needs Assessment, and we have held logic model and cultural sensitivity trainings with all of our partner agencies in order to help them align with our new vision. All volunteers are required to attend an orientation that will provide a more in-depth overview of this new vision as well as an overview of the trainings that our partner agencies attended.
We have scheduled 3 volunteer orientations so that all volunteers will be able to attend one that fits their schedules. The dates for those trainings are:
• Tuesday, March 21st at 3:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 29th at 9:00 a.m.
• Friday, March 31st at 9:00 a.m.
All trainings will be held at the City of Rock Hill Operations Building at 757 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Please register for the training session that best fits your schedule.
If you are interested in serving as a grants volunteer, please complete and return the Grants Volunteer Interest Form by March 3rd so that we can work on forming the grants committee. Forms may be returned to Krista Parenti at KParenti@unitedwayofyc.org or fax to (803) 324-2987.
Thank you for your support of and work with United Way of York County. We value your continued efforts to help us improve our community for all residents.
