About Us

Established in 2005, United Way of York County, SC resulted from the merger of United Way of Fort Mill-Rock Hill-Tega Cay and Western York County United Way.

Each year, United Way of York County, SC raises funds via corporate campaigns and individula donations to support partner agencies and community programs that impact critical health and human service issues of York County. These are related to Income, Health and Education.

Governed by a local, volunteer Board of Directors,United Way of York County, SC is locally operated and entirely independent of any other United Way organization. This allows our Board of Directors the freedom to create policies that are responsive to local needs and reflect the priorities and core values of the residents of York County.

Mission Statement:

Our United Way will be the non-profit leader in identifying community needs, facilitating collaboration, and maximizing resources to positively impact our community.

Slogan:
