Need help? 2-1-1 (or 866-892-2111 on a cell) is an easy to remember phone number that offers referral information about services available in our area. Trained operators are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 2-1-1 is easy, confidential and free.

In direct response to its 2005 community needs study, United Way of York County, SC initiated the 2-1-1 service on Sept. 1, 2007. Findings of the study revealed more than 85 percent of respondents acknowleded they received no assistance with the issues. United Way wanted to provide an easy way to connect those in need with the agencies that provide services. (Learn more about the community needs study here.) 

York County is one of only 12 counties in South Carolina offering 2-1-1.

Simply call 2-1-1 from your home phone or call 1-866-892-9211 from your cell phone to connect with this information referral line.

Want to give help?  2-1-1 also connects volunteers and donors with available agencies.

2-1-1 materials available

2-1-1 rack cards and posters are availble for download at the right. Rack cards are three to an 8.5" x 11" page.  Posters are 8.5" x 11" and include information in Spanish.
